Equipment
The department is well-equipped with three NMR spectrometers, good biochemical facilities and computational infrastructure.
NMR
The department operates three Varian Inova NMR spectrometers operating at 500, 600 and 800 MHz.They are equipped with cold-probes, in part funded by a NWO-CW Middelgroot investment grant.

Biochemical infrastructure
The department has a nice new biochemical laboratory, with good protein expression- and purification facilities.Computational infrastructure
For computational intensive applications we operate a Beowulf Linux clusters with 10 dual-processor CPUs.

For desktop applications, we have moved almost
exclusively to Apple computers, because of their
easy usage and seamless integration of Linux and
desktop application environment. And of-course, they
look much better!
