Research of the Protein Biophysics Group

The research targets biomolecular interactions of proteins, in particular protein domains involved in regulation of ion transport and assembly of active biological complexes. The structural and dynamic aspects that govern specificity and affinity of protein-protein interactions constitute a prime focus. Using high-resolution NMR spectroscopy as the primary tool, we solve protein structures (see structure gallery), we study interactions and dynamics, contribute regularly to technical developments in the field and explore methods for structure determination and validation.

Topics:

Regulation of Ca-transport across membranes
Assembly of active biological complexes
ErbB1-4 receptor signaling
